Description
This is a senior management role that will lead a team of Solution Architects to create and win new business with existing key accounts as well as develop new market opportunities. This team is responsible for Architecting Solutions based on products which meet the technology needs of customers and providing quality support to the Sales team.
Responsibilities
- Delivering contract winning profitable solutions to accounts.
- Ensure Product and Solution expertise across a team of Solution Architects.
- Managing and contributing the responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ's.
- Key influencer on User Content Strategy.
- Technical and Cost Validation of all Sales proposals.
- Presenting Products/Solutions to large audiences (C-Level).
- Key contributor to Product roadmaps.
- Work with local and global management team optimal use of sales resources.
- Enlist and retain top talent; motivate, mentor and coach Solution Architects.
- Drive continuous process improvement within the Sales department.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical discipline
- 2+ years experience managing Sales Engineers
- 4+ years Sales Engineering experience
- Direct experience architecting Solutions for large Tier-one Operators
- Systems Knowledge:
- Networking : Switches, Routers, Load balancers, Firewalls, etc
- Storage: NAS, SAN, Cloud based storage
- Database clustering: Oracle RAC
- Web and application Tier sizing
- Transcoding and Streaming
- High Availability: 99.999%
- Software Knowledge:
- Protocols: HTTP, SyncML, ATOM, SMPP, SMTP, SIP, XCAP, XMPP
- J2EE, Apache, Tomcat, JMS
- Mobile Platforms: Brew, Android , J2ME, RIM, Symbian and OSX
- Markup: XHTML/WML/Ajax
- Telco Knowledge:
- WAP Gateways
- SMSC/MMSC/SDPs
- Billing Systems
- IMS
- Devices /Smartphones
- Other Domain Experience: Cloud Services, Media & Social Networking
- Entrepreneurial drive and proven ability to meet aggressive goals.
- Proven Track record achieving aggressive Sales targets
- Strong management skills
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
Remuneration
