Job Description:

The Director of Product Management will be the unifying force behind the product strategy and execution. This person will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development to continue to deliver a remarkable product. Equally important, this position includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure the product supports the business model and objectives.

 

The company’s technology includes a number of cutting edge features that require a web services platform to drive user engagement and monetization.  Some released products include web search, activity wall that aggregates Facebook, Twitter, and Gmail, and RSS reader, etc.  In addition, there are a number of other products in the pipeline and to be released soon.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage existing products and develop new products for the company based on strategic priorities, industry trends, idea generation, company technological capability and staff resources.
  • Manage new product development from strategic planning to implementation and post-launch analysis by working with marketing, sales, technology and biz dev.
  • Working with various Ad networks and partners to support business model.
  • Define and document functional requirements for the product.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and with high quality results.
  • Optimize and analyze product performance and respond quickly to diagnose and correct any problems
  • Remain abreast of competitors and trends mobile browsing and video delivery

Experience and Attributes

  • Experience as a Product Manager for a software product (B2B and D2C)
  • Experience with agile development processes and monthly or weekly product release cycles
  • Passion for web-based software products
  • Experience in delivering products that use 3rd party APIs
  • "Roll-up-your-sleeves" entrepreneurial, startup attitude
  • Natural ability to relate to customers and developers alike
  • Ability to work with different people across a team effectively
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA or other Master's preferred)
