Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager/Director will assume the challenging task of promoting complex technology, innovative service ideas and business models, while highlighting related consumer benefits. This person will be working with the sales team and the financial team to ensure that everyone involved in the sales process understands and is able to articulate the commercial value of the product. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, creative writing ability, and a deep understanding of the service provider market.



  • This person will represent the products and their value externally.
  • Establishing "position”: where the product resides in the mind of the people the company wants to reach
  • The product marketing manager will be responsible for developing, sharpening, and articulating the product value propositions.
  • He or she will be responsible for developing product marketing collateral: presentations, brochures, white papers, positioning statements, demos, use cases, case studies, and product descriptions.
  • In addition, s/he will represent/evangelize the company in industry events, speaking engagements, analyst and press briefings, etc.
  • As such, the person will have sufficient technical knowledge in the networking/telecom/wireless space and will have fantastic writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
  • S/he will also be engaged in supporting the sales organization with customer-specific collateral and white papers supporting specific product value propositions in competitive situations.
  • As a key member of the product management and marketing team, the product marketing manager will be instrumental in defining and executing successful go-to-market strategies that are tailored to the value propositions and unique eco systems and circumstances of each product.


Required Experience and Desired Qualities

  • Familiar with the mobile carrier systems, network infrastructures, and requirements.
  • Well versed in the challenges of data and multimedia delivery.
  • Previously marketed to carriers products like GGSN/PDSN, Access and Service Routers, PCRF, DPI, WiMax, Video Transcoding and Streaming, etc.
  • Strong working understanding of value propositions, product differentiation, cost/benefit analysis, product positioning
  • Highly motivated, self starter with the ability to work quickly and independently, as well as within a team (Recent start-up experience a huge plus.)
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
  • Must be able to provide samples of written work:  presentations, brochures, white papers, positioning statements, demos, use cases, case studies, and product descriptions.
  • Recent start-up experience.
