About the Opportunity:
This is the opportunity to build, and continually release, a cutting edge system that will provide a best of breed checkout and ecommerce transaction technologies experience. It will require solid knowledge of the common hurdles obstacles to avoid as well as being able to understand how to incorporate new advertising systems and partner technologies while minimizing risk.
Requirements
- Recent experience building a publically available hosted shopping cart
- Should have built or had a part in building a hosted shopping cart that other companies use to sell to consumers. This isn’t building an ecommerce business using a shopping cart using someone else’s hosted cart or building a cart to be used by a single family of related companies.
- Ideal if you have worked at a traditional ecommerce provider like Digital River, Cleverbridge, CSI Commerce, and were part of the core product team there.
- Also of interest is if you were on the core team that built a hosted shopping cart at a hosted shopping cart provider like PayPal or Google Checkout or Yahoo Stores.
- You are an incredibly intelligent high-achiever who can fit in with a highly technical team hailing from the best schools.
- You are able to solve unfamiliar new problems.
- You should have a track record of success
- Have Product management experience and passion
- Have 3-7 years of technical product management experience, preferably with more than one company.
- Have a strong Technical acumen. Ideally you will have a technical degree. If not, you should have technical acumen (some programming experience) and be able to have intelligent conversations with Engineering about technical tradeoffs.
Education: Technical undergrad degree from a top-tier school is preferred
